Legoland
Legoland, situated in the town of Billund, is one of the most well-known theme parks in the world.
It was opened in 1968, and it is located next to the original Lego factory. Legoland is considered the largest tourist attraction in Denmark outside of Copenhagen.
Mini Land
This area is the heart of the theme park, containing 1:20 scale Lego brick models of landmarks and sights from Denmark as well as other parts of the world. It depicts landscapes from. e.g. Danish cities Nyhavn and Copenhagen, and also models of the Statue of Liberty, Abu Simbel, Kennedy Space Center and Mount Rushmore.
Pirate Land
This section contains the area for splash battles and the water playground. In Pirate Lagoon, visitors can sail on the Pirate Splash Battle expedition, and fight sea battles, using the water cannons, with passing pirate ships.
There is also e.g. 4 roller coasters, the Lego Atlantis aquarium and the Lego Studios 4D theater.
